Summary
Shigeo Kageyama hasn't used his powers willingly since the incident that happened with his brother Ritsu. But once he realized the spirit that had been hiding in an alley near his school, was tormenting a local stray, he no longer has a choice.
Alternatively - Mob meets Reigen four years later than in canon, but instead of being a conman, Reigen is a stray cat that had been abandoned and left to fend for himself on the streets. But not for very long!

Summary
Eight years after he learned to accept himself, Mob is freshly out of college and back in Seasoning City when he gets a call from Serizawa saying Reigen got cursed on a job. However, what should be a simple exorcism proves to be anything but. As Reigen's health declines, the Spirits and Such crew struggles to support him, all while trying to keep the business afloat and search for a solution.
But Mob's optimism is tested by the fact that Reigen's illness has caught the attention of a particular ghost who finds the whole situation very familiar.

Watching Thorfinn’s figure roll around, Hild suppressed the want to laugh at herself.
It was destiny’s blessing, yet its most unfunny joke. To think that the boy that had haunted so, so many of her nightmares was right here and had been haunted by his own terrible dreams. To think that it would be really easy to lodge an arrow to his skull for all that he did to her and to who knows how many countless others.
But she couldn’t bring herself to do it.
