Steve watched him leave before turning to look at Eddie who was staring at him with worry, carefully the older boy reached out and trailed a hand through Steve’s hair, seemingly not caring that it was greasy and in desperate need of a deep clean and some Farrah Fawcett.
“Why me?” he asked.
“Huh?” Steve didn't understand.
“Why did you come here, why not Henderson’s or Wheeler’s?”
“I trust you,” Steve said as though that was all the reason he needed.
“You trust them too,” Eddie said, not sure why he was pressing the matter.
Steve shrugged, wincing at the gesture, “s’different,” he admitted.
