Summary
Neil had gotten up, presumably being the next person to read something. Todd had stopped paying attention again. He hadn‘t even lied to Charlie, he was actually very tired. So Neils‘ voice just turned into a background noise. But something was off about it. What Neil was saying. Reciting. It sounded familiar. So Todd actually paid attention, trying to concentrate on what came out of Neils‘ mouth.
Neil was like an actor on a stage, fascinatingly confident. His presence, a force of nature, captivating and undeniably gorgeous. And Todd couldn‘t tear his eyes away but his ears captured the horror of the situation. His poem. Neil was reciting the poem. The one Todd had thrown away. Twice. No. Why would he do that? It was humiliating. No. He could only truly hear the last two verses.

Why should the weight of numerous bodies be easy to bear? This job isn't about having emotions, it's about being able to hide them.
