The Doctor’s eye watched the employee from the moment he arrived, waiting to see if the employee was worth his notice. A crawling, desperate little beast scrambling for attention from someone more worthy than the brutish glob of clay or the minuscule porcelain toy. It was a good thing that the Doctor was more than patient enough to wait for the right moment to dig under the employee’s skin and find the weakness within.

He can't flee from the courtroom beside them as Akane Taira bleeds out on the floor.
And when the helicopter lifts off, he isn't onboard.
Instead, he is left behind.
~Tsurugi wakes to find himself still trapped on the island they vowed to escape from together. A castaway.
However, he isn't alone. Whether that is lucky, or unlucky, remains to be seen...
______________________________Two people are left alone together after the events of the killing game finally conclude. One finally without the curse that defined him, and the other broken, battered, and alone. Both are haunted by the past, yet long for something that they surely don't deserve to have.
This story takes place not long after the the conclusion of the killing game. For the most part, that ending is the same as in canon. Except for a few changes which lead to the events in this story.

Summary
After regaining full control of his own soul and besting Vox once and for all (if with some unasked for aid), Alastor makes an unsettling discovery. His newly freed soul seems to be somehow connected with Vincent's.
To solve this new plight, he decides to offer Vox yet another deal. But this time, the disgraced Overlord rejects his proposal, so - like any sane person would, Alastor goes on a rampage topped up with a bender that even Husk in his grief considers to be too much. Meanwhile Vox is dealing with the consequences of the Radio Demon's actions on top of his own. Shenanigans ensue.
