Summary
Years after the war, Sakura's a medical prodigy, a scientific powerhouse, and the reigning champion of being right all the damn time.
Kakashi — her technically brilliant but functionally useless Hokage of a boyfriend — knows this better than anyone. He also knows that if she’s left unsupervised for too long, she’ll either solve world hunger or commit a war crime. Possibly both.
Between terrorizing Orochimaru for fun, proving she’s better at paperwork than the actual Hokage, and making Kakashi’s life very difficult (in every way imaginable), Sakura is busy. Too busy, in fact, to realize she might have a little bit of a god complex.
It’s fine. She’s earned it.
(Or: Sakura is a feral scientific menace, Kakashi is struggling, and somehow their love language is being insufferable together.)

Kakashi was now retired from being the Hokage, he was 44 years old and enjoying his peace.
There was just one problem, a rather big one. He was in love with Sakura. Yes, the same Sakura who used to be his student, who was now a 30 years old ANBU captain and head of medics department. The one who grew into a gorgeous, strong, witty and fierce woman. The one that he spends most of his time with because she's the best friend he ever had. The one that's married to Sasuke.
That last part was the problem of the equation.
Granted, she was very unhappily married, it was common knowledge in Konoha that Sasuke was a deadbeat husband, he's never in Konoha, visiting twice a year at most, leaving a lonely wife to raise their daughter on her own.
A lonely wife that Kakashi couldn't stop thinking about.
