“Am I interrupting something?” Pyrrha asked, though it was clear as day that she was.
In front of her, on the dingy floor of the otherwise empty megatruck, Camilla and Palamedes were wrapped in each other’s arms like they were fused together on an assembly line in the same factory that had produced the car. Even over Palamedes’ shoulder, Pyrrha could tell that Camilla’s bloodstained shirt was unbuttoned. Their current position could have almost been passed off as Palamedes being worried about Camilla’s injuries, except that his hand was nowhere near the wound. At the sound of Pyrrha's voice, both heads turned to look at her.
“Yes,” Camilla said.
“No,” Palamedes said at the same time, his voice sounding strange coming through Prince Ianthe Naberius’ dead vocal cords.
