Yuuji paints as if he is haunted
chased by fragments of a story lost in static. the world is merely a suggestion, and his imagination ( of curses, violence and bloodshed ) is a reality he alone could see and so he paints it instead.
he paints a monster with too many limbs to count ( sukuna, his mind whispers and he knows it is his brother, distorted as it maybe ), and he paints his family ( scarred and inhuman, twisted into nightmarish creatures ), and he paints faceless companions whom he never met before ( and he paints them with such love, such care, and with their names at the time of his tongue )
and Yuuji paints a man (a god amongst men, power-incarnate, ocean sky-eyed and snow-haired ) and he paints them all, over and over again
until the world echoes in return to answer his cries (buried in the art many calls a masterpiece)
au where in a world where there is no curses, no fights to the death, no need for bloodshed; it is itadori yuuji who deals with the repercussion of remembering far too much.
