Connor crouched down next to the body. The man's name was Garcia, Michael, and he was deceased. Height: 1.68 m - Weight: 72kg. Estimated time of death: 14:57. Previous conviction for petty theft.
Why did he even have access to a criminal database?
Furthermore, the analysis had been completely automatic.
Connor examined the wound on Michael's chest. The caliber of the shot was .355. The left ventricle was perforated. Internal and external bleeding.
The knife lay next to his right arm. The tip of the knife was covered in blood. Connor reached for the knife with one finger and touched the tip. Now his fingertip was covered in blood. He brought his finger to his mouth and licked it.
DNA analysis: Nguyen, Adam. Age of sample, 106 seconds.
Why did he feel the need to lick it in the first place? Why was he able to analyse DNA samples in real time?

Summary
Blade Wolf finds that he has failed his objective - his objective to be free from Desperado, and has instead played right into Mistral's plans.
This event, of course, happens in the game itself. But, what if things had gone slightly differently? What if Mistral decides to send Wolf back to World Marshal for "retraining"? How does his dynamic with Samuel look like when Raiden, the player, cannot see it?
Samuel, too, finds himself making different decisions, partially influenced by these small changes.
This is also a Sam lives au. I, like a lot of people, were not satisfied by his death, and this is my way of retelling/doing justice to the story of MGR:R the way I see it, while also further developing the other characters (they barely get any screen time in the game!) with an emphasis on Sam and Wolf.

Summary
A campaign of sabotage against the RED mercenaries has them stand on edge as they try to figure out who or what is going after them. Spy takes the lead on the investigation, and quickly finds out that BLU isn't behind it.
In the midst of all this, Scout learns the truth about his parentage, which, as suspected, does not help.
Spy hopes this is the only mistake from his past that comes to bite him in the ass. Let sleeping dogs lie, they say. Sometimes, they wake up on their own.

Update May 26th, 2025: I am SO sorry for going MIA for an entire year. Right after i posted the last update I lost both my apartment and my job. Dw, I am safe now but it's been a tough year.
