    “Motorcycle accident, 2 minutes ETA” Dana called out to him.

     

    Dennis nodded and walked out into the ambulance bay where Trinity, Victoria and Robby were waiting already. The sun was beaming brutally onto the pavement, causing fata morganas along the concrete. The humidity had spiked, which was not uncommon for mid to late June, but it definitely was not welcome.

     

    “So… I heard they are hiring a new attending for when you’ll be recklessly abandoning us in two weeks” Trinity poked, fake casualty on her face.

     

    “Yea, she’ll be here in 10 days for a little observation, see how we run it here” Robby told her, crossing his arms.

     

    Dennis knew how excited Robby was for his trip, how much he wanted to just forget about responsibility for those three months… away from Dennis… on a motorcycle…

    OR

    Robby is going on that sabbatical and Dennis has a bad feeling about it

    Dennis couldn’t keep his eyes away from the empty space where Robby just lay on a stretcher minutes ago. He kept starring at the monitor that showed him the flatline of his love’s heartbeat, still feeling Robby’s ribs breaking under the pressure of his own hands.

    He found the love of his life in this hospital and now he would just might lose him in there as well.
