"You know I have to punish you, or else I would be really unfair to harry" liam sighed as he stood up. Louis anger grew larger and larger with every millisecond. "You know who you're being very unfair now to? Me. You can trust harry without battling an eyelash but when it comes to me, you didn't even bother to get both sides of the situation!" Louis screamed, causing liam to freeze and his eyes widen in shock.
"You know the whole world can tell that you love your new baby more, and you know what, I'm not gonna stop you from loving your dear Harold, maybe you could give him some of my toys, but who am I kidding? That boy wouldn't take anything that isn't brand spanking new." Louis sighed as he walked out the room, getting some of his clothes, his phone, wallet and important things.
"Louis! Where are you going?!" Liam rushed out, his eyes held worry and regret. "Where I'm going won't be any of your business anymore, and you know I'm so so glad that I got out of my headspace because you know 4 year old louis would just take his punishment and cry himself to sleep alone!"

He’s just finished the second braid when there’s a squeak from down the hall like rubber on linoleum. His head shoots up, followed quickly by Kiara’s and Cleo’s. Pope is last, his dark eyes blinking rapidly as he follows everyone’s gaze to where John B is skidding – and slipping – to a stop in front of them.
His hair stands up at every angle, the curls wild and messy the way they are after a full night of partying at The Boneyard, but his smile – though sleepy – is the brightest thing JJ has ever seen in his entire life. Teary-eyed, with a wrinkled shirt, mussed hair, and eyelids that look ready to close – John B has never looked happier.
Looking between his friends slowly, John B’s eyes eventually settle on JJ. They stare at each other – something passing between them, something JJ can feel right in the center of his chest – and then John opens his mouth and practically sobs the words, “We have a daughter.”

The days all blend together in that house. No calendars. No routines. Just cigarette smoke curling in the ceiling corners and beer cans crushed under foot like it’s normal. Like it’s just part of the floor now. And the ticking of that old busted clock above the fridge, stuck at 6:12 since God-knows-when, like even time gave up and walked out.
JJ’s sitting on the kitchen linoleum. Cross-legged. Quiet. Trying to breathe through his mouth so he doesn’t gag.
His shirt’s damp.
Sweat or tears or the shitty water from the busted pipe under the sink—he doesn’t know.
There’s a spoon on the counter that wasn’t there yesterday. Bent funny. Black stuff in the bottom. Not his business. Nothing in this house is his business unless he wants to get popped in the mouth for asking too many goddamn questions.

Summary
Ward and Lisa Cameron's tumultuous marriage is strained further by the arrival of their twins, Sarah and JJ, alongside their son, Rafe. Ward, who always longed for a daughter, lavishes all his love on Sarah, treating her like a princess, while neglecting JJ, whom he resents for being a boy. Their household, filled with constant fighting and chaos, becomes too much for Lisa to handle.In a desperate attempt to restore some semblance of peace, Lisa secretly decides to give JJ up for adoption to Luke, a man who has harbored secret feelings for her. The first brush of his lips against her shoulder blade brings tears to her eyes. Eyelashes damp against her cheeks, she leans her head back, feels the warm rumble of his bare chest on her back. His warm hand slides along the back of her neck, tugs the hair tie from her curls, carefully unravels her bun so that her hair falls back to tickle his skin. Kiara doesn’t know why, but it’s the tenderness of his fingers through her curls that undoes her. Cracks her in a sudden sob.
She lifts one hand to her mouth, sobs into it as the other reaches behind her to tangle in JJ’s hair. His lips are against the crown of her head, his chest vibrating with the soft murmur of his voice, “I’ve got you.”
And it’s exactly what she needs to hear. It’s too much. It’s not enough. It’s heartbreak. It’s her heart stitched back into one solid, beating thing.
