Summary
It was going to be okay. He was doing this all for Jason. For the days spent eating his cooking and watching movies and the nights spent literally blowing up rogues’ plans and having each other’s backs during fights. For the genuine apologies, cuddles and moments of brotherhood that little Tim had only ever dreamed of. For Jason.
The elevator pinged and Tim straightened his posture and shoulders in the way Jason did. The doors opened and he found a panel of Jason’s men standing around a man blindfolded, gagged and tied up in a chair in the middle of the room.
Tim— No. Red Hood stepped out of the elevator and everyone’s heads turned to him.
OR
Jason gets injured and Tim decides to do him a favor and become Red Hood for the night.

Summary
At fourteen, Tim Drake is no stranger to loneliness. But when his parents die in a plane crash, and a will reveals that Bruce Wayne is his biological father, he’s dropped into a world of vigilantes, legacy, and disappointment. Bruce, caught off-guard and not ready for more family, keeps his distance.
Tim doesn’t push. He’s used to being a shadow.
But shadows notice things. They listen. They help. And while Bruce avoids his newest son, Alfred brings him in—gently, steadfastly, and without question. Tim finds belonging not in the Cave, but in quiet acts of care. In warm mugs of milk. In folded laundry. In the faint scent of his grandmother’s perfume still lingering in the halls.
Bruce may not be ready yet. But Tim is already home.

Summary
Tim could never understand why his mother would always get so upset with him when he tried to dress himself. Shirt, pants, shoes, tie. He had all the items positioned perfectly. So why was she angry?
His mother would always pull him aside with a bruising grip at galas to hiss at him to quit making odd noises. That it was disgraceful. But how else was he supposed to see? To orient himself without clicking his tongue or tapping his foot to feel the vibrations was something he hadn’t learned yet. He’d do better.
Timmy was 8 when he finally understood. Apparently, other people didn’t use sound to view where things were. Apparently, their eyes showed them something other than an inky nothing. They didn’t have to push a piece of themselves into an object to ‘see’ it like he had learned to do when he was 7. Apparently, their eyes showed way he ‘saw’ was a weakness. His mother didn’t tolerate weakness. He couldn’t let them find out.Or a fic where Tim was born blind, but no one noticed because he learned some unique ways to handle himself.

Summary
"The other factors that encouraged his escape from Drake Manor weren’t as favorable. There was no one to help him with basic needs, like making meals or ensuring the central heating worked. Yes, Tim tried, but he couldn’t magically learn how to cook, and most states don't let minors pay heating bills. With his inability to perform adult jobs, the home became his crypt, cold and lacking the warmth of other living people. Tim didn’t even know how to discuss these issues properly; he’d never had anyone to verbalize these issues to before. Well, without the fear of punishment stopping him. He just knew he couldn’t stay there anymore. That house was going to kill him, and Tim didn’t wanna die."
OR: A young Tim Drake never becomes Robin, and abandons Drake Manor to find comfort. Along the way, he learns how to laugh, how to steal, and eventually, how to build a family. It gets worse before it gets better.
