Summary
The battle with Blackbeard leaves Law, once again, with nothing to hold onto—only Bepo, his best friend, still by his side. His wounds heal, or at least as much as limited resources allow, and soon he must rise again, rebuild what was lost, because there’s no other choice.
But fate isn’t done with him yet. And neither are the Straw Hats.
(Or: Law seizes the first phantom of peace he finds, clings to it as the world claws at him from all sides. This time, he’s not going to let anything ruin it.)

Summary
Another island, another battle and of course once again the Straw Hats were to blame. After Wa No Kuni Law had hoped to be spared of that crew's shenanigans for once, but given his bad luck he had reckoned without the Straw Hat and its equally insane swordsman. But this time things would end differently and Law had known it from the beginning. But as always, no one wanted to listen to him!

“My silly little swordsman.” Jemaah chuckles as he crouches down next to Zoro. He studies Zoro’s pained expression with an indulging kind of amusement. “You never learn, do you?”
There can’t be anything left, Zoro desperately thinks as he starts to dry-heave.
“You really want to test me today, don’t you?” Jemaah asks. The amusement stays on his face, but the glint of something far less benign starts to glow in his redish purple eyes. It dares him to be difficult.
Or:
Zoro gets unlucky in Wano one night, after the defeat of Kaido and his men. He vanishes for three years until the Straw Hats are able to locate him. They get him back but the aftermath is difficult on all of them.Bookmarked by Iphi

Clover planted his hands on the table, leaning forward. “Not you. Qrow. What are you doing here? You’re supposed to be asleep.”
“Uh. I…was.” Qrow said, choosing his words carefully. “But I couldn’t sleep, after the thing. You, uh…sure you got enough yourself, Lucky Charm?”
“I can’t,” Clover snapped. It was so unexpected that half the table flinched. “But you do. You sleep until 10:32, which is ridiculous by the way, and then Ruby and Penny wake you up and you all play video games for two hours and then you come here. And you eat the most disgusting sandwich I’ve ever seen in my life, which somehow does not kill you, and then you come to the briefing along with everyone else and spend the entire meeting taking potshots at Winter and staring at my crotch. What you do not do is wake up at a reasonable hour and eat a…a healthy breakfast.”

In the space of a year, Qrow has lost his best friend, lost his grip on his alcohol problem, and landed himself with a conviction for common assault on his sparkling-new rap sheet. Most people who know him are kind of surprised it took him twenty-nine years to get one.
Now subjected to the torment of court-appointed group therapy, Qrow is confronted with his polar opposite - Clover Ebi, a veteran of the Great War who lost a leg to an IED but still has an untouched sense of optimism that is enough to turn Qrow's stomach. The worst part is, Qrow can't even bring himself to hate him.

Summary
They're the last two to leave the airship during a mission, and Clover stops Qrow from jumping with a hand around his bicep. When Qrow looks to him, expecting some important bit of information or instruction, he instead gets a waggle of Clover's eyebrows and a cheeky, "Kiss for good luck?"
Qrow blinks in surprise for a few moments; for all that Clover has flirted with him since the moment they met, this is far more blatant than he's dared to get before now. He's sure that it's just meant to fluster him, and it's definitely working. He refuses to give Clover the satisfaction of seeing that, though, so he covers it up with a slow smirk and fires back, "Sure, gods know I could use a little more of that."
Clover's eyes go wide, and his cheeks turn a brilliant red that Qrow hasn't had the pleasure of seeing on his face before. It only makes his smirk grow.
Rather than backing off with some muttered excuse as Qrow expects, Clover darts forward with a small, nervous grin and kisses his cheek. Then he's swan diving off the airship before either of them can say another word.

His heart is obnoxious, beating against his ribcage with frantic wings. Those anxious flutterings prove to be strong enough to nauseate his stomach, and he finds himself silently begging Roronoa to walk away in complete juxtaposition to the part of him screaming that this was exactly what he’s wanted.
Well, maybe not this, whatever this was, but something.
