Summary
A single father stranded with barely enough chits to stay afloat, desperate for a better future. And an escaped sleeper, fighting for survival each cycle and hungry for a life to call their own. While their origins differ, it doesn’t take long for fondness to blossom between Lem and Sleeper. But as they grow closer they must contend with the harsh reality of scratching out a future for oneself on an aging station spinning in cold, empty space.
Not exactly the most well-equipped pair to take on the challenges the Eye has to offer, but Lem has hope. He knows they just have to hold out a little longer. Together. That’s how it works, right?

From a personal standpoint, however, it was more than a little embarrassing to admit that she was burning hot with jealousy for a stupid freaking cat.

About two hours after Kris is made to make Noelle kill Berdly they lock their SOUL in a box and throw it in the river.
It’s a fool-proof plan. Their SOUL has become the vehicle by which some great otherworldly force steals their body. No SOUL, no puppeting— they’ve already proven that. So fuck all the plans that Carol has about opening Dark Worlds, and fuck all the plans that the thing living in their SOUL has about making them hurt people. Berdly’s in a goddamn coma, and Noelle was made to put him there, and it’s only going to get worse. Kris is done. They’ve got their own plan. It’s a great plan. They send Susie home early, and then they drag out their SOUL, and they stuff it in a tin, and then they throw it in the goddamn river.

Summary
After defeating every secret boss and gathering all five shadow crystals, Kris, Susie, and Ralsei return to Castle Town and entrust their treasures to Seam. In return, Seam forges the Pure Crystal a legendary artifact capable of bridging Dark and Light, but only for those whose trust is unbreakable. With the whole town cheering them on and Lancer acting as interim ruler, the trio sets out on a new adventure: crossing into the Light World with Ralsei whole for the first time.
But with new freedom comes new questions. In the Light World, Ralsei must confront doubts about belonging, Susie explores her relationship with Noelle, and Kris learns the strength of choosing their own path.
