Summary
Statistically speaking, any two people in the world are sharing the breaking of a mating bond through some sort of tragedy at any given time. Unbeknownst to either of them, Castiel Novak and Dean Winchester become widowers at the same time, joining the statistics together. Through a change of scenery and the need to rebuild their shattered lives elsewhere due to the sudden breaking of their mating bonds, Castiel and Dean meet in their new hometown of Halcyon, Maine; population: barely a handful. Despite both being alphas, they are immediately drawn towards one another. Their shared circumstances, combined with the strong urge to scent bond, sends them both reeling. The only problem is that Castiel refuses to set himself up for the same heartbreak a second time. And no matter how hard Dean tries not to, he can't seem to come across as anything other than the stereotypical alpha jerk when confronted with the intriguing doctor. But fate keeps bringing them together, so Castiel keeps trying to figure Dean out, while Dean just plain old keeps trying.

Now, with the clock ticking on Dean’s well-being, all that’s left is for Dean and Castiel to get their heads out of their asses and give in to the heat and hormones calling their names, before the claws of Dean’s heat take hold and he’s lost forever.

Kinda sounds like something Chuck would cook up. Just you and me. No one else. I mean, really?” He scoffs, slumping.

Cas looked at him. Dean made a small furtive gesture with his hand. Realization dawned.
“No, Dean. That’s not something I ever felt the need to do.”
“Right. Yeah." Dean turned away. "Well, angels are missing out.”
After walking in on Dean's private time, Cas decides to do a little research and experimentation of his own and gets magically trapped in a book about sexual fantasies. And if that means Dean has to go in after him, well what are buddies for, right?

Summary
When Severus Snape banked on being dead at the end of a war, it was as much of a shock as a burden to find out he was very much alive. He'd rather welcome oblivion and be known as a hero, than watch himself become a listless ghost of his former self. He never expected his Life After Death would contain much but living an isolated, quiet, life. Instead he somehow ended up returning to Hogwarts to teach, becoming involved in student affairs he'd rather stay far removed from, and most importantly, having copious amounts of sex with his old childhood enemy- Remus Lupin.
Recovery is a fickle and long road, and he certainly didn't expect his would involve accepting Remus as part of it.
