Danny gets word that the GIW is going to Gotham to track levels of ectoplasm that have been popping up over the past couple of months. Danny follows and after three days finds at least three different people that have some kind of ectoplasmic signature.
He doesn't get close enough to ID them and instead watches over them from a distance until the GIW close in on a man about four years older than him with a white streak in his hair.
Next thing Danny knows he's shoving the man into the passenger seat of a car while their under fire from the GIW, hotwiring the damn thing and tearing ass down the street.
Meanwhile Jason is wondering how he convinces a kid who isn't much taller than Damian that he's not in any danger all while also trying not to die as this kid not to get them both killed with his GTA driving style.

Danny would like to say for the record that it was not his fault.
In fact, Danny would say that it was entirely Clockwork's fault. After all, he wouldn't even be in this situation if it wasn't for that cryptic time god.
But what was his fault was the fact that he kept helping.
He kept taking the cash from the assholes messing with the residents who lived in the area (and damn there were a lot of assholes near where he lived). He kept accepting their offers of food. So because of this new routine that kept him able to afford to rent out his shitty (and possibly illegal) apartment and the hunger pangs sufficiently satisfied, rumors grew.
tldr; after Clockwork dropped of Danny in Gotham he tries to make the best out of the situation which includes helping out some people. Except along the way that led to rumors that he was an up-and-coming crime boss. A rumor he was largely unaware of.

He thinks this is dangerous, its like they’re married, the casual sharing of intimacy, this space between them which feels like something and nothing all at the same time. He thinks it’s dangerous for him to pretend Steve sees it the same way, that one day Steve’s droopy, kind eyes are going to see right through him and he’ll lose this. This being a side of Steve’s bed that is his, a nightstand where his rings always pile, a drawer of shirts in Steve’s bedroom that only Eddie uses.
