    I came to read the works and came across half_baked_ideas series hurt/comfort April 2024, inspired by the DragonSoul468 challenge. I read the set of topics. I`m in.

    Summary

    After the events of Into Darkness, Jim is suffering from survivor’s guilt and a multitude of medical problems brought on from having died. Spock and McCoy are doing all they can to help him through it.

    Expect the recovery process to include lots and lots of emotional and physical whump.

    (Set between Jim’s resurrection and the speech he gave at the end of Into Darkness. Keep in mind, an entire year passed in that time, so this will be a long fic. Let me also warn that it is a very heavy story and is very emotionally charged, so it may be at times distressing to read. Much of this is a study on mental health at its lowest.

    Btw, you don't have to read the other works in the series to read this.)
