Summary
“A…family event…” With a small frown, Fukuzawa contemplated the request for a second and picked up his glass of tea, “Do you really not have others you can send in for this?”
“No, the meeting is next Monday, and one week isn’t enough time to train ten people to be naturally civil with one another, let alone act as a functional family,” Taneda replied.
Fukuzawa spit out his tea.
His subordinates were many things, but functional was not one of them.
AKA
Fukuzawa takes on one of the most difficult tasks he’d ever been assigned: turning his band of dysfunctional misfits into something that resembled a normal family, if only so that it would last for a singular day.

Summary
On the third anniversary of Oda’s death, the first since he had been with the Armed Detective Agency, Dazai took the day off. He didn’t tell anyone else, nor did he feel like informing them of the possibility that he wouldn’t return. He simply left, turned off his phone, and headed to the bar, his heart heavy. As per usual, drinking himself into an early grave sounded much better than anything else Dazai could plan at this time of year.
While he didn't exactly love his solitude, he didn't expect someone to join him, much less the Agency's best detective.
Dazai should ask why Ranpo came, how he found him, and everything in between, but instead…
“You don’t like alcohol?”

Summary
“To lose time is to lose much…” That’s what the timekeeper had told Eleven. What Eleven ignored when he rocketed back into time, when he risked losing everything for a slim chance to save the whole of Erdrea, and now...he has to do it all again.
When El wakes up, he’s back in Cobblestone, the way it was before Heliodor destroyed the place he loved, before the world tree fell, before he met any of his companions and delved into their secrets. He’s back, he can change things, but somehow it makes him more nervous than ever before. He never wanted to go this far back, how can he change things without altering the course of history so badly that Mordegon never shows up? Will things between his companions ever be the same? It doesn’t matter now, El is here, and only holds one thing to heart: he can’t mess this up, but the huge demonic sword he brought might not be the best way to keep a secret.
Meanwhile, Eleven’s old companions explore intense feelings of deja-vu and dreams beyond explanation, and Hendrik feels the undeniable urge to speak with his childhood friend Jasper before it’s too late. There’s just one question in his mind, 'Too late for what?'

Summary
Ranpo noticed the small things about people, it was simply a fact of his character, something that was as much a part of him as breathing was. The rest of the agency must have been aware of that by now. At least, that was what Ranpo thought until his small acts of goodwill were met with expressions that he was far more used to seeing when he saved lives rather than taking a few hours out of his day to do something with a coworker. His friend's reactions didn’t make any sense to Ranpo, but honestly, most emotions didn’t, so he simply categorized them as one of the world’s great unknowns. He never intended on solving the mystery either, until the members of the agency waved the answer in front of his face that is.
AKA
5 times Ranpo did something “small” for the people in the agency without thinking much of it and 1 time they let him know it’s the small things that count.

Summary
L. The letter haunted B every night when he went to sleep and guided his every waking moment. It was his reason for breathing as much as it was his reason for wanting to bury a knife into the back of those he met. It was what he focused on every time he’d see a name floating above someone’s head, picking out the number of Ls they had instead of the numbers on their lives, the ticking clock of their impending death. Really, for all the time he’d spent thinking about L, it was only fair that Beyond should carve his own letter into the skull of L Lawliet, to leave his impression on a man he knew would never forget it.
After all, what was a case if not a puzzle to solve? What was murder if not a masterpiece? Morals may be black and white but Beyond Birthday has only ever seen red and he would pay any price to see his own mystery come to life. L Lawliet was a legend but Beyond Birthday would be his legacy.

Summary
“And where did you meet this new friend of yours?” he asks, watching as Akiko rummages through the pockets of her coat.
“Down at the markets last week. We both wanted the last jar of snail slime.” She makes a satisfied sound as she produces a small, folded piece of paper. “But he let me have it. Pretty generous of him, wasn’t it?”
Akiko unfolds the paper and smooths out the wrinkles before showing it to him. It’s a crudely-drawn map of the nearby forest and where it borders with the village, but the sketch is understandable enough. Her finger taps along a pair of long, flowing lines that can only represent the river that runs through it into the sea. “He lives in the woods, so―”
Ranpo snaps out of his musings. “I’m sorry, what?”
“He is a bit eccentric,” Akiko explains nonchalantly, as if Ranpo had not already gathered that much.

Summary
Going back in time was supposed to fix everything.
It should have fixed everything, and yet...
He heaved a defeated sigh as he looked at his reflection, at the boy staring back at him with tired eyes and hunched shoulders and a story written in wounds across his flesh.
It seemed that no matter how hard he tried, he would never fully escape from his mistakes.
He had carried all of his scars back with him.
(A partial novelization of Act III where Eleven tries his best to keep all of his secrets hidden...and runs into an unexpected problem).
