Summary
He feels himself stop and stare up at the sign above his last option. It’s some generic coffee shop. One that he's never exactly seen before either.. which must mean it’s a newer shop.
It wasn’t ideal but what choice did he have left? He could turn around, maybe walk to a different street. Find some gross gas station he could hide out in. He slowly shook his head at the idea. It would be a waste of energy and it meant more time out in this weather.
He stood outside the shop for a solid two seconds before walking forward, pressing his hand to the glass door and swinging it open.

Tommy is a teenager living off the streets of Logstedshire, a poorer district in L’manburg. Working the closing shift at a local coffee shop. He soon comes to find that the Cities most wanted supervillains have taken a.. interest in him.

Summary
While Tommy had seen plants and animals in old photos, he’d never seen the real thing. Nobody had in over five-hundred years.
Humans had gotten greedy, taking and taking from the Earth they lived on, until there was nothing left.
Their chemicals had poisoned the very air they breathed, so they’d created a dome with all of the world’s leftover oxygen inside. Those very same chemicals had killed all the plants. Leaves, flowers, and stems withered away with no cure in sight. And with the plants gone, the animals had quickly followed. Species after species had gone extinct, never to be seen again.
Tommy couldn’t help but imagine the way things used to be. He couldn’t help but wish he’d been born in a different time, one before humanity destroyed their own home.

Tommy is from a future where nature is gone and all of humanity lives in the same city, on a limited supply of oxygen.
After living alone on the streets for a few years, Tommy unexpectedly dies.
Before he dies, he makes a wish, hoping to be taken back to a better time, when everything was alive.
Suddenly, he finds himself waking up hundreds of years in the past. Not long after, SBI finds Tommy and found family occurs.Series

Summary
Mythical creatures were heavily favored everywhere in the world. It was near impossible for humans to work anywhere that didn’t only pay minimum wage and wasn’t a dead-end job.
Some humans, those who couldn’t get jobs at all, had the option to sell themselves into a multitude of cruel and heavily illegal markets. Businesses that would drain a human of most of their blood in order to feed vampires, let demons experiment with their magic on them, have shapeshifters practice shifting by taking their form, or would have werewolves hunt them down for sport.
Even if all of those horrible practices and businesses were outlawed, it didn’t stop them from existing.
Basically, it was hard for humans to survive anymore.
Tommy was human, but nobody knew. Not a single soul knew that he was human and it was a secret that Tommy was sure he’d attempt to take to his grave.

Or, Tommy is a human living in a world where only mythical creatures can succeed. He has hidden his humanity for his entire life.
When Tommy is fostered by a new family, one mistake leads to his biggest secret being revealed and his humanity accidentally taken from him. Found family and healing quickly begin in the aftermath.Series
