Two betrayals and one broken promise.
That was all it took.
All it took was two betrayals and one broken promise for the poor boy to completely cut himself off from the rest of the world. It took two betrayals to make him finally understand that the world is filled with nothing but extravagant lies and fabricated illusions. It took one broken promise to make him realize that the human heart overflows with feelings of intense greed and selfish desires.
It made the boy comprehend that promises are made just to be broken.
