sonic is in a alleyway
"huh..."
last thing he remembers was fight eggman.... he had some giant gun thing that he hasn't bother to listen to that egghead to learn the name of.
he slowly gets up, memories fuzzed out and body tired. he looks around the alleyway. not much around here, just a average dirty alleyway. he looks up, it seems to be a little afternoon and he can hear some people walking, talking, and generally go about their day.
he looks to the entrances to the alleyway (whats another word for alleyway i been using that for waaay too much(sonics thoughts btw)) he decides to go to the entrance behind him. when he gets closer, he sees people walking. humans he thinks.
"hmm... am i in central city...?"
mind still fuzzy, he goes to the opening...
and immediately bumps into a giant flaming man.
"watch where your going." he says and walks away
"what the fuck."

Belos was dead, the Empire had fallen, and Hunter, for the first time in his life, finally felt safe. He had friends, a family, and a home that felt far more warm and inviting than the cold trenches of the castle ever had. He was loved and he was basking in the feeling, certain that he would no longer be hurt or manipulated with Darius as his guardian and with his friends at his side. He was happy.
Then, one morning, Hunter woke up somewhere different – somewhere all too terrifyingly familiar. He desperately hoped he was just having a nightmare but the longer he was forced to relive his former life in the castle under Belos’ thumb, the more unsure he became that that was the case.

Hunter finds himself in the impossible situation of waking up in the past, and being himself, unhesitatingly throws himself under the bus in order to help the people who, in his mind, he owes so much more than just his life to.
All Luz sees is a desperate, hurt child soldier who was ready and willing to throw himself into the boiling sea if she so much as hints that it would make her, King, or Eda happy. This sufficiently worries her.
Eda just desperately wants to know who this kid who showed up out of nowhere and cursed himself for her is. Lilith's kid? Belos'? Raine's? Who the heck would have a kid who latches onto the Owl Lady!?
Everyone else is wondering just what the heck Eda did to inspire such vicious loyalty from the former Golden Guard who, at this point, they're almost certain is her son. Lilith most especially.

“Sonic.”
Fuck.
He trembled when he heard his name, the fur at the back of his neck rising at the gravely sound of Shadow’s voice. His name sounded like venom, angry and demanding in a way Shadow had never sounded before. He forced himself to turn around, and was startled to see Shadow’s ragged and angry glaring back at him. He gripped the edge of the door frame with sharp claws that splintered the wood; teeth bared and eyes locked on his. His pupils were blown wide, no longer ringed with red, but painted in pure black.
Sonic could feel his skin burning up at the sight. He took a step back, his feet dipping into the sand and making him stumble.
Just fucking ignore it…
or: Shadow's rut hits and sets off Sonic's heat. Violence ensues.
