The year is 1944 and the world is at war.
To many, this war is all there is. The Axis forces, led by Germany, who lash out in sweeping acts of cruelty across Europe, and the Allied forces, led by Britain and the United States, who rise up to stop this evil. It is as simple as that. The heroes and the villains. The good and the evil.
But this cannot be farther from the truth.
For the truth lies far above the battlefields of the eastern front, far under the ground of the iron wall, and deep below the sea where the British naval vessels anchor and prepare.
The truth, though few know it, is that powers far greater than man are responsible for this war. It is the result of the Greek deities of old, whose actions both before and during the conflict have disastrous consequences. Their sons and daughters, whether aware of their parenthood or not, play important roles in the battles taking place.
Their choices may save the world, or may doom it, and very few will know this truth.
The war for the world, for the fate of all humanity; the true war, is about to begin.
