Kaigaku's eyes widened in surprise when he felt Zenitsu lean into his protection and return the hug.
The back of his kimono started to become a little damp as his brother cried into his shoulder. He couldn't bring himself to care.
A strange feeling pulsed in his chest when he realized that he had made Zenitsu feel safe enough to be openly vulnerable. Safe enough to show his emotions without getting hurt for it.
"Thank you... Aniki."

Note: Zenitsu may seem OOC. Think of it as later in the series and if he was actually given more attention by the author. (No shade on Gotoge, but I wish he had developed more. He’s my favorite.T~T)

“No…” Silver gasped, his voice cracking as he struggled to breathe.
Eggman’s laughter boomed across the battlefield, cold and triumphant. “His power is far too great to be wasted on him! It’ll be much more useful in my hands!”
Silver’s body began to shake uncontrollably. The sheer force of the energy being ripped from him was overwhelming, leaving him gasping for air. Around him, he could hear the frantic voices of his allies—Sonic’s desperate cries, Tails shouting for help, the pounding of feet as they raced toward him—but it all felt so far away.
His vision dimmed, black spots creeping in at the edges as the light from Eggman’s machine grew brighter. He was losing himself, losing everything that made him him.
Eggman sneered down at him from his perch on the machine. "Say goodbye to your precious future, Silver! It belongs to me now!"
