Dante glares at him before closing the distance between them to plant his hands on his chest and shove with all his might. Vergil digs his feet in, barely managing to avoid being slammed into the wall but the carpet and his socks do not survive unscathed against the friction.
“Why don’t you ever want to be around me?” Dante shouts, voice raspy and breaking.
Vergil grits his teeth as he straightens and rolls his eyes. “You say you don’t want to be detected by Mother and yet you choose to scream. The master of stealth, my little brother.”

Dante turned around to call out to Trish but froze as he caught a small glimpse of purple in one of the adjacent rooms. The wall had obviously been collapsed by the seal’s blast, creating a new opening to the room.
