Summary
Atsuko Kagari, a young psychic, goes to Luna Nova academy to learn how to harness her abilities, hoping to one day become as great as her idol Shiny Chariot, one of the most talented psychic in recent history.
Unfortunately, Akko will have a long way to go to reach her dream. The poor girl barely knows the basics of telekinesis.
She'll get to make friends with other psychics, delve into minds learn how to make stuff burn with her mind. Maybe even meet her idol, hopefully.
All of this should have gone smoothly but a dark plot is unraveling behind the scenes and is about to throw everyone lives into disarray.(You know psychonaut ? The game ? Well I'm basically taking all the concepts of its world to make this fic. Although you don't need to have played them to understand the story, everything will be explained in due time.
And to make it clear it doesn't happen in psychaunaut's universe, only the concepts are taken from it.)

After magic has been restored to the whole world, many wonders have made their return. One such wonder is the Twinsoul Tree, a gate leading into another world. But you can only cross it if your soul is linked to someone else's. Romantically or otherwise. The students of Luna Nova are tasked with pairing up with someone they have a strong bond with to perform the Soul Link spell. Akko has a partner in mind for this assignment. But she's the girl she currently has a giant crush on. Will she be able to make the spell work with her without letting her feelings show or get in the way ?

Atsuko was often told that they lived in hell. That it was their punishment to live under this forever storm, holed up behind their walls of steel, constantly fearing the machines roaming in the scorched plains outside. But she never really understood why it would be seen as such. Maybe because she never knew anything else.
But now, looking up at this colossus of metal and flame, dread welled up in her heart as she realized that her peaceful childhood had just been a respite, a grace right before she would have to face a waking nightmare.
