Summary
Kakashi walks lazily forward, until he stands shoulder to shoulder with Shikamaru. There’s no surprise, though there are a few tense lines in the Nara’s form. The cigarette burns, close to the filter now, and Shikamaru exhales smoke.
“Hokage,” he greets neutrally.
Kakashi hums. “Do you ever think I am to blame?”
Kakashi seeks out Shikamaru to deal with his guilt.
