Summary
Reze wasn’t an idiot. When it came to being a living weapon, you couldn’t ask for a better teacher than her.
So many worthless things for someone who wanted to be a happy and normal person. If the world had been good and fair Denji would never have to learn those things. He’d never had to meet her at all. If the world was really fair… Reze didn’t know if she’d be living a quiet life, or was simply never born at all. Either would suffice at this point.
But that was beside the point. Reze wasn’t stupid. So she could tell when something's wrong.
Her being in an endless field of flowers was the first red flag. The second was that shes fucking dead.
Also her clothes are gone, but that was less suspicious given the fact her corpse was probably somewhere in cold storage.

Summary
For as long as he could remember, Aether has been a phantom wandering the universe along side his ambitious sister until they’re attacked by a mysterious woman with incredible power.
He expected that this would be where his story would end, with him dying under some tree or being found and dissected like some animal by scholars. He had no idea what Teyvat would have in store for him next, showing him a life he’d never imagined possible for him. Or the hardships such a life would bring.
P.S: This started as a bunch of Aeventi food for Aeventi enjoyers, which it still is!!!
But at this point I thinks I should also mention that this is a rewrite of the prologue. So yeah, warning for content that wasn’t in the original story. I probably should’ve added that a while ago.
(TT_TT)Update: Hey guys, got another update. A lot of work stuffs come up and I’m not gonna be able to get a chapter up this week. With how much school work I’ve been getting, I don’t feel confident in my ability to keep up the two week deadline, so I’ve made the decision to change my upload schedule to once every three to four weeks depending on the work load. ENA and Froggy have finally put that dead meat in its place, but that doesn’t mean they can hang up their hats just yet. Have you seen this economy? Icing The Boss paid well, but they’ve still gotta work to eat!
Hopefully all this new income will open opportunities to escape their careers and find something more fulfilling to do with their lives. But for now it’s back to the grind.

Still bearing the scars from his time with Public Safety, Denji tries his hardest to get used to taking care of eight animals and a reincarnated Control Devil while also figuring out what the hell he was supposed to do when not keeping his brain too busy to think about everything he’s gone through the past year or so by killing devils or by working minimum wage.
Still bearing the scars from her time with the Soviet Union, Reze tries her hardest to get used to begrudgingly working as a devil hunter for a wounded Public Safety desperate for personnel while also figuring out what the hell she was supposed to do when tossed into general society out of ‘good behavior’ as if she wasn’t one of the worst monsters on payroll.
They meet again, somewhere in the middle.
Or: Bomb, Chainsaw, and getting used to mundanity.
