Summary
His gaze gets caught on Shuuichi, for what must be seconds at most, though they feel like an eternity. On the smile, soft and private and barely noticeable, the warmth mirrored in the creases around his eyes. He should be doing something else, but it's hard to look away, when Rei knows he caused this look, that the fondness is meant for him.
(It's the look usually reserved for Akai's family. The thought makes Rei nauseous.)
He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath, before he does something very, very stupid.
The fall of the Black Organisation deserves a celebration - or rather, two: the official gala, and a private getaway among friends.
Though some shadows still haunt Rei and Akai, it is finally time for their overflowing feelings to come to light.Series

I am still overwhelmed after reading this and might not have all the words to express how much I liked this.
Seeing them on a vacation and that they finally got together while being all sweet, soft and flirty? it's EVERYTHING to me!!!!!The fluff after and teasing?!
I want to bathe in it like become a mermaid and never leave the feelings reading that made me feel 🥹 🥺 🫠Them being so gone on eachother is making a mess of my heart 🫠 uuugh
Yes, there are some dark parts on the account of the author doing minor flashbacks or describing the realities of deal with the aftermath of leaving the syndicate and all they had to do for the organisation or even dealing with the other side now that it's done of having to deal with their agencies and the higher ups views of what they have done. It was so well done and true in portraying how hypocritical and uncaring organisations can be, but except for that, it's a pretty lovely soft read.

This whole series makes me feel overwhelmed with emotions. I am so grateful that we get to read about them dealing with the aftermath after the organisation is dismentaled and trying to be better. That author has a beautiful way of writing and giving more depth to these characters and their actions. Gorgeous series but I esp love this installment. ❤️

It always kinda low key annoyed me when Ilya mocked Shane for being boring when he too craved that stability and liked that about Shane. I love that the author made him acknowledge that and that Shane is now proud of that insted of like at the begining being insecure abt it.

I was not prepared for the level of hotness. I am still in shock. Like, I literally had to lay my phone down and just stare at my wall for a while 🤯 This might be one of the hottest things I have heard these past few months, damn.
I am not that much into the whole money thing, but absolutely loved how it was used to express a part of their dynamic. It was fascinating to read. Cuz at first I was like, 'House a sub?' I was suprised by how much I liked this since I don't like the show. I couldn't stop laughing at the beginning I found myself laughing out loud almost every minut. The author knows how to wrote em in character but also make it hilarious as fuck.
They are still terrible, but it's done so humorously I laughed at the sheer ridiculousness of it.
Also the podficer's voice is just so good. And then it turned romantic and hot near the end. I liked how House encouraged James to be more selfish -
