Summary
The tree above them is scattering the sunlight, leaving shifting shadows and patches of vibrant color all across Kyle’s body. Kyle is laughing—full-on, head tilted back, laughing—but the wind is so loud Stan can’t hear a single note.
His skin is pale, like porcelain. His hair, red like an inferno, is softened in the dappled light. Gold and blond highlights come in and out of view.
Abruptly, Stan realizes Kyle is pretty. Much prettier than any girl in their class. This thought is easy to reconcile. Girls are gross, and Kyle is anything but gross.

Or: Stan and Kyle grow up and somewhere along the way fall irrevocably in love.

Such a good and interesting story, Peter got the life he was deprived of, I love the inclusion of Jessica in it!
