“Well, It smells really good,” she tells him, warmth spreading in her chest when he throws her a grateful smile.
It does smell good, and it makes her heart ache.
Sometimes MJ misses May so much she can feel the May-shaped hole in her soul. She imagines it must be at least ten times worse for Peter.

Cere sits down at the table. "He's still alive," she tells him wearily, accepting the cup of tea Greez places in front of her. It's warm and smells of berries.
"That bad huh?"
Cere sighs, but nods. No reason to try to embellish it. She takes a sip of the tea and tries to relax her body. Her brain is still reeling from seeing Trilla again. It’d been a jarring experience. And Trilla hadn’t as much as hesitated. She’d wanted to take them all down, her with them if it came to it.

That’s… not a question Greez expected to ever have to answer. “Well, it’s my home,” he says. “But it really took a toll during the war, and the Empire didn’t exactly make things much better.”
