    The day was full of surprises, and wedges in his plans to completely wreck his shit.
    Because he was so close, his fingers were grazing the soft, tanned flesh above the boy’s heart. And the prophesized words. The boy’s own hand was pressed to his soul mark.
    While the other survives.
    It was warm and soothing, but cool and taking like he was slowly pulling Voldemort through a cold shaded area. It hadn’t been at all what the Dark Lord expected.

    “Come, Harry, don’t-”
    “Shut up!” His voice struck the air with a burst of magic. His feet left the ground, soon he was standing on top of the dining table and every window shattered. Shards of glass rained down on him from a domed skylight that provided the dining hall with natural light. The jagged shards cut his skin as they fell. Chairs, side tables, decorative vases, and paintings littered the air; breaking up the crowd of Death Eaters, barricading everyone out of the room. But nothing touched his soulmate. A fault of the bond between them.

    “I’ll help fix you, you’ll be okay.” He couldn’t really tell if he was reassuring the man before him, or himself.

    In which our favorite boys are soulmates and have to navigate around insanity and death.
