“About two weeks from your time, right Tobio?” Shoyo turns to him. Tobio nods.
“HUH?!” Hinata and Kageyama yell from their respective sides of the half circle. The two first years looked at each other, then back at their adult counterparts.

Summary
Tadashi Yamaguchi has always been a supporting character in his own life. Until Yūji Terushima showed up and, without knowing it, offered him the perfect interlude.

Summary
Yamaguchi, whilst asleep, makes a content sigh as his face buries itself closer up Tsukishima's shoulder. His eyebrow twitches and Tsukishima just stares. Stares at every feature that he's never been able to stare at, not with this much freedom. The pattern of freckles dusted over his features, the way his mouth is slightly agape, soft, little breaths coming out— those lips and that freckle on his top lip.
"Cute…" Tsukishima blurts, his ears immediately heat up, definitely red. He's never been— careless with his words. He's practiced, precise with what he says, how he says it, and when he says it. Blurting things out is Yamaguchi's sort of thing.
Yamaguchi's developed a habit of sleeping on Tsukishima, and Tsukishima's developed a habit of blurting out his thoughts when Yamaguchi falls asleep.

Summary
Kei wishes he could delineate the gap in Yamaguchi's memory. He remembered his old flip phone from first year, but he didn't remember Takeda. Does that mean his memories stop somewhere before they joined the volleyball club, or is it less clear-cut than that? It probably isn't fair to ask Yamaguchi what he can and can't remember. It's like asking him to remember the last footprint he left.
In other words - Yamaguchi forgets, and Kei starts to realise something he should have known all along.

The mocking laughter of the group of girls crowding him rings in his ears. It's loud, louder than it should be. The focus in his eyes slips from him, blurring his vision. His consciousness escapes to the back of his head. It’s comfortable here, like when he dunks his head under the warm water each time he takes a bath. Nothing can hurt him now with the world around him muted and soft.
“Oh my god, can you believe that? So embarrassing.”
Endurance is key.
He knows that if he stays, endures, lets it happen, it will eventually stop. It always does.

Several expressions pass over Yamaguchi’s face in quick succession--first his eyes widen, then his mouth parts slightly, then his eyebrows raise, and then they lower, scrunching tight together, then the corners of his mouth pull down into a frown, and then…
He laughs."
Yamaguchi assumes Tsukishima's genuine love confession is merely a joke, albeit a hurtful one, and laughs it off. As one might expect, neither of them take this particularly well.

He takes one step and then stops, waiting patiently for the girls to struggle their way up the same stair. It's a greater challenge for them than it is for Suguru, on account of their short legs.
Suguru looks up at last, finally noticing Satoru peering over the landing. He says, simply; "They have nowhere else to go."
