Summary
Frodo Baggins was orphaned while Bilbo Baggins was away during the events of "The Hobbit", and when Bilbo returns he's not the same grumpy uncle Frodo remembers who told him stories of adventure and magic. He's become a shell of himslef, hardly speaking and not eating as much as a regular hobbit. Frodo has to work out how to put the pieces of his uncle back together without him breaking down again. The only clues to the source of his uncles mysery; a locket containing a portrait and a lock of hair and a sadness brought on by the appearence of dwarves in the shire.

Summary
Inspired by the events of Batman: Gotham By Gaslight (1989) Bruce Wayne is on trial, believed to be Jack the Ripper after the serial murders follow him from London to Gotham. Clark Kent is sent to report on the trial and the week leading to Bruce's execution. He is unnerved by Bruce, who's appearance and demeanor have drastically changed, however upon arriving back in Gotham a day after the trial Clark is greeted with the city in uproar. Bruce Wayne has escaped his imprisonment and criminals start cropping up half dead covered in identical puncture wounds. Clark sets out to find Bruce as Superman, finding instead a monster lurking in the shadows of Gotham's streets.

Summary
Bilbo Baggins had become a recluse after the death of his parents a year ago, but now he must set off to seek help. His parents were healers and creators of medicine, so why would they need to possess a book on necromancy? Bilbo sets out to find Gandalf in hope of ridding himself of his parents secret but finds himself instead travelling across middle earth to the lands of Dale. Where war is brewing and a dwarf king faces mortal peril at the hands of an old enemy.
Bilbo is self loathing and has to take care of Thorin, who remembers nothing of the dwarvish customs of courting. Leading to some awkward political tension.
Bilbo is a mess and Gandalf is a little shit.

Summary
The words on his skin were his everything. After everything he'd seen, done and been through, they were a reminder that Bruce Wayne still existed. That somewhere there was a person who would love him despite the coldness in his chest and the scars that roped their way across his skin. A reminder that he wasn't alone - that he wasn't destined to live forever in the shadows, silent and isolated. That somewhere out there was the other half of his soul.
He just wasn't expecting the other half of his soul to be an alien.

Summary
Dragons were an insular, reclusive species. Hunts of old drove them to the brink of extinction, leaving the few remaining clans with a well earned wariness, if not outright fear, of the world at large. They stayed hidden, either far from prying in the wildest regions of the world or in plain sight. Most of the rest of the world knew very little about them, aside from the sparse rumors and folklore that remain from days of old, and the clans were happy to keep it that way. The less the outside world meddled in their affairs, the happier they were.
That said, one thing was well known and documented about dragons: possessiveness was written in their blood.
Or, John "Soap" MacTavish is a dragon. Task Force 141 is his hoard. This changes everything, and nothing at all.
