Plopped onto Tatooine without even underwear or even a slip of paper telling him what he was meant to do? What, did the Force expect him to stick out his thumb and have a well-meaning smuggler drop out of the ether to hitch him a ride to Coruscant?He paused. He looked around him.
Nothing but sand.
Vader… stuck out his thumb.

Nothing.
“You couldn’t even arrange a chauffeur,” Vader said in disgust. “Whatever this is, it’s very half-assed.”
The Force responded by blasting a wad of sand right into his face.

“Ma’am,” the Jedi sighs, “We are an equal opportunity employer. Through the door, please.”(Shmi Skywalker is assaulted by too-real visions of her grandson in pain in the future. She gets a job at the Jedi Temple in order to prevent that from happening and soon after finds herself on a warship.)

Both Tup and Commander Tano turned. General Skywalker had been asleep, but now he had pulled his oxygen mask down and was looking at Tup with a half-smile on his face. "General," Tup said. "How are you doing, sir?"
The general didn't seem to hear this. "It's gone," he said, looking at the small bandage on the side of Tup's head. "It's gone, isn't it?"
Commander Tano drew up another chair for Tup and they both sat. "Yes, sir, it is," he said. "Thanks to you. I just wish...I wish we knew what they were for. Why the Kaminoans did this to us."
"They were paid to do it by the Sith Lord," General Skywalker said instantly. "They contain biological programming accessible only by him. There are one hundred and fifty secret commands. Number sixty-six will force you to turn on the Jedi and kill them."
Tup and Commander Tano stared at the general, mouths agape.
"It's Chancellor Palpatine," General Skywalker said. "The Sith Lord. He wants me for his apprentice."
Commander Tano stood, a jerky, involuntary motion that pushed her chair backwards with a discordant scrape. "You--Master Obi-Wan said you didn't remember anything from your vision," she said, a bit desperately.
"I remember now," General Skywalker said. "I saw it. Everything. I Fell. Padme died. The younglings."
Commander Tano took a couple of quick breaths. "I'm just, I'm going to go get Master Obi-Wan," she said, darting from the room.
"The younglings," General Skywalker repeated. So much talking seemed to have exhausted him; his face was a livid gray shading to blue near his lips. Tup stood and gently moved the oxygen mask back up.

"Anakin had no idea where he was or why he was there. How could he possibly deserve to be in this position, free as he almost was, but not dying, alive? Anakin thought to himself if this was real, he didn’t know what he would need to do, what the Force wanted from him, for it had clearly sent him wherever here was. In the face of the unknown, Anakin couldn’t help but think to himself, I want to go home."
As Anakin/Vader is dying in Luke's arms, he feels a light from the force and wakes up on Mortis, when the Son was showing Anakin his future. But instead of simply showing Anakin the future, the future was brought to Anakin. And now, only recently returned to the Light, Anakin will need to find the strength and determination to change his future, and the future of the galaxy.
