Summary
Long ago, Grace decided that she didn’t want to live in anyone’s shadow.
She thought going to Boston was going to be a chance for her to turn over a new leaf, but Grace knew she was never going to be the good girl or the perfect little housewife. To her credit, she tried, but when you’re a public defender married to a soldier, having the mouth like of a sailor, the silver tongue of a lawyer, and the aim of a sharpshooter tends to be a bad thing.
Who knew that the very traits that got her sent away would be the ones that would help her scour the Commonwealth in search of her son, or help her meet the man she was meant to be with all along?

Summary
The Commonwealth is gone. The Institute has won.
Nora should have died with it, but instead, she followed the old railroad tracks south, haunted by the ghosts of the home she failed to save. At her side is the only person left who understands what it’s like to lose everything—Deacon, the Railroad’s last surviving liar, lone survivor of a different kind of war. Deacon has some ghosts of his own that threaten to resurface. Together, they cross a wasteland on the edge of collapse, searching for a reason to keep fighting.
But the Institute is still watching. And they want Nora.
A story of survival, reinvention, and two people finding something worth living for in the ruins of the world.

Summary
"What do you call the stick with the bowl on the end?" she asks, and Deacon raises an eyebrow.
"Uh, you lost me, Boss."
"The thing you eat with. Like a fork or a knife but for soup," Clara says, and she's making the motion as if she's eating cereal while she's speaking, as if using the muscles will help her remember if she ever knew it.
"A spoon?" Deacon says it almost as more of a question, like he's unsure if that's the answer or not.
Clara snaps her fingers and grins widely. "Yes! Spoon!"

the sole survivor's first language isn't english, and deacon's first language is bullshit, so together, they make a pretty terrible team.

Summary
It’s definitely stupid to sleep across from an undead cannibal, but Lucy is too tired for safety regulations. If he wants to make jerky out of her ass cheeks, he will.
But he probably won’t. Lucy has noticed that something has been decidedly less callous about his behavior, ever since she saved him. The fucker has gotten golden ruled.Lucy and Cooper make their way across the wasteland together, get dragged into side-quest bullshit, and learn new things in the process.

Summary
Stumbling upon a perfectly preserved pre-war mall, Lucy is amazed by the sheer choice available before the war. When they stumble on the very car Cooper used to own though, a 1954 Kaiser Darrin Model 161 Roadster, Cooper shows Lucy just how far back those seats go.
Part of my ongoing series but can be read as a standalone with only a few references to the previous fics. Established relationship at this point but it's still new and uncertain.
