There's a worn strap over her shoulder, black leather, and he sees the purple glint of her bass below it.
"I'm just nervous," she admits, one hand moving up to clutch at her elbow, other arm pressed tight against her side. "I'm — not good on stages."

Manage to move me to tears and I’ll let you all go… What do you say?”
Shouto is conflicted. On one hand, reliving his childhood while this villain watches is not something he thinks he can survive emotionally. But… if he agrees, he can save his friends. Spare them pain. Repay them for the gift that every day of their friendship has been.
Mind made up, Shouto opens his eyes and freezes.
Because the villain isn’t even looking at him.
