It's a chronicle of mistakes and sacrifice and love and desperation. It's a story of historical forces unleashed, and the handful of people who defied them.

Summary
Harry Potter had just turned 40 years old in the year 2020. His kids were off to Hogwarts, with James starting his sixth year, Albus his fourth, and Lily her second. Life had gone on with Harry making his way through the Auror department and becoming head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement.
But at 40, life at Hogwarts had proven it wouldn't just stand still. After an incident with his daughter, Harry met with Draco Malfoy after a taxing and grueling month long Board of Governors meeting over the incident that would have seen their sons expelled. Not that Harry would ever let that happen. Still, the incident proved to Harry he couldn't avoid the position that so called to him.
Naturally, right as he was setting up to accept the DADA position, everything had to go dead wrong when the very reason for his daughter's near death and son's explosion decided to try and ruin Harry's life. In the past. Supposedly...
He was rather confused by this turn of events, too.

Summary
Blaise was tired. He was sure the rest of his yearmates were as well. It had been a long day. Double Transfiguration followed by Runes followed by Herbology followed by double Potions. It was a truly exhausting Thursday schedule, and this early in the year with no established rhythm yet, made it near unbearable.
Honestly, whoever had put double Potions with Slytherins and Gryffindors at the end of day with a schedule like that was a sadist. It was an explosion waiting to happen.

As in, when Tom Riddle’s current home (diary) is destroyed, he tries to hitch a ride with the nearest host available: the tiniest sliver of his soul hidden in the kid that just killed him. Two years later, Voldemort is resurrected, and suddenly Harry Potter has to deal with a random voice taking up space in his thoughts, and, oh, he’s also gotten re-sorted into Slytherin, because clearly his life was not complicated enough already.Or, how abused traumatised kids really can win with the power of friendship and found family and no one is ever really alone.
