Summary
Theo watched as Gabe dragged himself on the hospital floor to the wall. Theo stood on shaky legs with his shoulder still bleeding and watched "It hurts it hurts" Gabe said panting and coughing up blood.
At that moment Theo saw himself pleading for Scott to save him or anybody while he was dragged underground by his sister's icy touch wishing for someone to save him while they just watched.
Theo saw himself, as both he and Gabe were just kids who trusted someone they shouldn't have and became monsters because of it but unlike him, Gabe won't ever get a second chance to prove that he can be more than that.

There were goats bleating in the distance—fucking nightmare creatures—and a child screaming about a candy apple that had fallen in the mud, but Neil looked at Andrew like that and the rest of the world forgot to exist.
