Summary
Dolores’s eyes narrowed as she focused on the quiet humming coming from the kitchen. Humming didn’t bother her much. There was Camilo who would be doing it constantly when alone, there was also their parents. Honestly the entirety of the Madrigal family were no strangers to breaking out into song, so Dolores was pretty used to it. At times it was even welcoming.
But the song that was being hummed instantly set her blood boiling. She began to make her way over to the kitchen quietly seething, hands balled into fist to keep from shaking.
Who would even be humming that, how inconsiderate, like really?
She stopped at the entrance of the kitchen when the humming turned into soft singing, “We don’t talk about Bruno~ no no no”

Summary
Just some good old-fashioned Bruno hurt/comfort set after the events of the movie, post return of the magic. The Madrigals grapple with the return of their powers (well, mostly Bruno) and begin the arduous task of healing years of generational trauma. It's not easy, it's not exactly pretty, and they sometimes mess up but that's all part of the process, isn't it? Very Bruno-centric, though the other Madrigals get a bit of attention as well. All of it is more or less from a third-person perspective with Bruno as the central character. There's a fair amount of angst and whump, but hopefully an equal amount (if not more) of fluff/comfort as well! Someone help, I am unhealthily obsessed with this movie and this sad adorable rat man! Also Julieta is the best sister ever.
TW for suicidal ideation, emotional abuse, neglect, eating disorder (does it count as an eating disorder if you purposely starve yourself to avoid being found by your family members?), self-neglect/self-harm (is it self-harm if you purposely don't take care of yourself?), death, and possibly some physical violence later. Also, obviously, generational trauma.
