Summary
A long time ago, so long ago that they didn't even count in years, there lived a demon. This demon was known as the Clown Demon. He wore checkered black and red, a jester's hat of the same colors, and a porcelain mask. His outfit made him stand out from the dull colors most wore but for most if you saw the colors, it was too late. His cackle would haunt you if you managed to hear it and live. Sometimes it's better to die than to keep living with such things in their mind. Whether you lived or died, it didn't matter, you were gone either way.
He would go from town to town, killing as he pleased and taking what he wanted. No one truly knew what went on in his hea or what he wanted. Some said that he was insane and craved the screams of the innocent. Others said he was merciful, only killing those who did horendous things. Some said both, that he killed randomly but occasionally he would kill someone who deserved it. But one day it suddenly stopped. No more killing, no more terror, no more death. One thing circled the minds of everyone. Why? Why now after so many other had been taken by him, after so many funerals, so many warnings to children? What happened? How long till he came back?
