Though they don't need human - or spiritual - recognition. They are the Animal Lords and they are always in the background, never wishing to be more than what they are.
One of these is Casimiro, better known as the King of the Jungle, and he just so happens to be one of Jacks oldest and greatest friends.

Sometimes, when Jean shows up, the soft rev of his motorcycle announcing his arrival, James joins him and they work in comfortable silence together. Other times, James steps into his backyard after a day out of the house, and the only signs Jean has been there are the neatly trimmed bushes, weedless soil, and a basket full of fresh vegetables sitting on the back steps.
5 AM for a student-athlete who had played a tough game the night before is just too early for James to let slide. He sighs and flicks on the coffee machine before making his way outside.
Or, a collection of moments where Jean gardens and Rhemann helps his kid heal.
