Ilya dismisses most legends on principle.He is the eldest son of House Rozanov, sworn sword to the northern crown of Ruskara, raised in stone fortresses and winter campaigns. His father commanded cavalry before him; his grandfather broke sieges in the east, his brother was the lord of half of the eastern border in the north. Ilya has been holding a blade since he could walk. By sixteen, he was winning tourneys. By nineteen, he was leading men.
Prodigy, they call him.
Shane, on the other hand, was born to mud and barley.
