Summary
Why? Why and how does this keep happening to him? Jaeyun leaves his side for one minute – one minute! – and the very next second, he’s ambushed by women smiling at him and flirting with him, sometimes aggressively. He gets tongue-tied, his heart in his throat, and he just wishes…
“I suggest you take a step back,” a voice suddenly growls behind him, and despite the threatening tone, Jongseong’s body nearly collapses in relief.

Jongseong nodded before burying his head into Jaeyun’s neck, and his hands came up to tangle in his hair and pull, gently. It wasn’t enough to hurt, just to sting a little, but it also acted as a reminder of how long Jaeyun’s hair had been getting lately, how he was able to tie a little ponytail at the back of his head whenever Jongseong didn’t hide his hair ties and… Oh.
Now it dawned upon him.
“You really like my long hair, don’t you?” he asked his boyfriend around a bark of laughter, delighted when Jongseong nodded against his neck.

Summary
Tears spill over Magnus’ cheeks, uncontrollable, unstoppable, and he takes a shaky breath, hands coming to clench his shirt over his chest where a chasm has opened, tearing at his flesh and his heart and plunging a knife deep into the wound.
It’s the last picture Alexander ever took.

Summary
One second he had been fighting demons next to Magnus – a recent development, as the High Warlock of Brooklyn and the Clave had struck a strange but enduring alliance several months ago – and the next, the warlock had all but pushed him inside a hastily-opened portal with a panicked look on his face.
And Alec had woken up ten years into the future.

Summary
“You’re killing them,” Jungwon repeats.
A beat passes. To Jungwon’s immense surprise, the god steps back, until only his sandals are touching the ground.
“Apologies.” The sound of his voice is startling. It is deep and hoarse, rattling from his throat as if it has not been put into use for a while. “Is that better?”
(or: sheltered in the world of the living and numb to the life that surrounds him, jungwon learns what it truly means to be alive when the god of death, jay, stumbles upon his garden)

Summary
“You look good,” he blurts. Like an idiot.
Surprise crosses Jay’s face. It smooths out quickly. “So do you.”
“Oh, please.”
His ex-boyfriend is a hunky lawyer who represents clients while dressed in luxury brands on a daily basis. Meanwhile, Jungwon has worn the same, raggedy scrubs for a week now, hasn’t washed his hair in days, and is sneaking into said ex’s high-rise apartment building to steal back his delivery of three packets of sour cream and onion chips. He knows how this looks on paper.
(or: the five times jungwon “accidentally” ships his package to his ex-boyfriend’s address and the one time the ex-boyfriend—jay—does instead)

Summary
“Tell him, Jake,” Jay says, pointing between where Jake has caught himself and where Riki stands still.
“I think we’re all forgetting our priorities,” Jungwon spits. “We’re filming at a music show tomorrow and as of right now, I can’t trust you two to be in the same room as each other,” he reminds everyone.
“My priority right now is him,” Jay shakes his head. Jake turns back to looking at Jay, and sees that he’s pointing a finger at Riki. “I need him to know that Jake didn’t mean it. Tell him you didn’t mean it.”
Jake can’t tell Riki that — it’s not true.
Or,
Jake bites Jay, accidentally bonding the two of them together. Damage control means that Jay isn’t allowed to bite back to complete the mating process: in six months, the unreciprocated bond will fizzle out and reverse itself from Jake’s end.
But until then… Jay is his alpha, whether or not either of them like it.

Summary
Belatedly, the reality that he just knocked someone’s food out of their hands hits Riki, so he jerks his head back up, a “sorry” already forming on his lips. But the sight that greets him has his throat tightening, his mouth sealing shut at an impressive speed and preventing any sort of apology from escaping.
Standing before him, holding a bubble tea and wearing a bisexual flag tied around his neck like a makeshift cape, is someone so beautiful Riki’s brain nearly stops functioning completely.

Of all the places, Jay would have thought he’d been safe from being recognized in a gelato shop in Sydney, Australia.
