Summary
Things did not get better for ii.
He didn’t know where he was, or how he’d gotten here, or how to leave. His sprained ankle throbbed in time with his racing heart beat as he stumbled through the forest, the trees grabbing at his clothes and hair, the dirt beneath his feet trying to trip him up - again, and the very air so thick with the scent of decay and rotted plants that he could scarcely believe sound could pass through.
Although perhaps it wasn’t. He could hear his own harsh panting breaths, and the crunch of leaves and snaps of twigs beneath his feet, but precious little else. He thought he could hear the sound of wind whistling through the branches, but as he came to a stop, that died too. ii leant against a wide tree in a too silent forest and considered his options.
He had one.
He would die here.

Summary
Magdi has agreed to spare the lives of the humans still living in her territory.
But her followers are not so keen to show mercy towards their former masters.The humans who once dominated Ruby Province raped, murdered, and mutilated their slaves on a vast scale when they were still in charge. Now that they have overthrown their masters, many of the former slaves want to pay the humans back in kind.
Can Magdi rein her own people in, or are the humans all doomed to death and defilement?

By the time The Captain returned to his quarters, his human was asleep on his bed, curled in a nest of blankets with a peaceful expression on his face. It was unknown for members of the upper class to not have a human and although the species was usually gifted to an Honour Guard when they graduated training or were promoted, The Captain had won his first and only human in battle. The moment he set eyes with him on Onderon, The Captain knew the human would be his ; now, he was his pretty little pet.
