Summary
“Hey, Shiro?” Lance didn’t look up to see if he was reacting. For some reason, he couldn’t look him in the eye with what he had to ask next. “What— what were you trying to tell me? In the astral plane?”
Let me set the scene for you. After a mission gone wrong, Team Voltron realise a devastating tragedy. Shiro is missing. The unlikeliest member rises up in his stead, straining to keep the last threadbare pieces of his team together. But it all threatens to unravel when Keith, a long lost soldier and friend, returns home. Can Lance live up to his task? Or will he crumble underneath the weight, trying?
A story about war and grief and planting love in ashened soil.

Summary
Lance’s smile widens. He leans forward, and the prickling in Keith’s chest gives way to butterflies, fluttering wildly in his stomach, and oh wow has Lance always had this many freckles, has he always had eyelashes that long, has he—
Lance pokes his cheek, right over the Galra mark. Keith blinks.
“I can’t believe you and your mom have matching face tattoos now,” he says, and it’s so fucking dumb, but it’s exactly the kind of dumb thing Keith has longed to hear, and before he knows what he’s doing he’s surging forward, almost knocking Lance back against Red’s paw, and throwing his arms around him.
In which Keith lives on a space whale, goes on a road trip, and (eventually) gets a boyfriend.

Summary
“You were planning on swimming at night too,” Keith accuses him, crossing his arms. “Admit it, hypocrite.”
Eyes darting back in panic, Lance waves his hands around wildly, sputtering nonsense. “No, nope, I always follow the rules. My lifeguard senses were tingling and I knew there was someone I had to save.”
“I’m not that stupid,” Keith says with an eye roll. “You had the same idea as I did.”
Lance cringes, not denying it anymore as his mouth snaps closed. Keith wouldn’t believe him even if he still tried; he smirks. “How about this becomes our little secret, ok?”
Since he’ll never see Lance again, Keith accepts the outstretched pinky, wrapping his own finger around it. They shake on it, completing the pact. “Whatever.”

Summary
“Let me guess. Body horror.”
There was a delicate eyebrow raise. “Impressive guess.”
Lance offered a halfhearted wave to Keith’s SAW T-shirt. “I’m sure you sit in your cave and drink blood and think of all the ways a human body can break in half.”
That earned him a smile with teeth. And yeah, sure, Lance could see what James found attractive. If he squinted. Chugged more wine.
“And I’m sure you spend your time thinking of the least outrageous age gap you can have between your love interests.”
Lance’s eyes narrowed.***

Summary
Lance McClain constantly dreams of the day he'll finally meet his mysterious soulmate. They don't say much, if anything at all, but they leave him with gorgeous paintings temporarily tattooing his skin. It's not exactly the situation he hoped for, but when he feels the connection between them, he can't bring himself to resent them. As much as he wishes his soulmate would just talk to him, he's resigned himself to being patient. In the meantime, he has a loving family and good friends to help him get by.
Keith Kogane dreads the day he'll finally meet his obnoxious soulmate. He's just an art student who's struggling to find his place in the world. There's so much he hasn't been able to control in his life, and the thought of having a soulmate, just another thing in his life which he also has no control over yet can't do anything about, is a little terrifying. So he ignores the words that occasionally appear on his skin. He has other things to focus on: like being a new student at a big university where his childhood friend and step-brother go.
