Zack Fair gets lost in the woods and falls into a trap he's only barely rescued from by a Fairy-fox. In the house he's brought to, everything comes in threes. One bed is too cluttered with books, the other too delicate and filled with bells, but the big wooden bed is just right. Angeal, Sephiroth, and Genesis insist Zack show his gratitude for rescuing him.

When Cloud's mother passes away a few months after his birth, the people of Nibelheim give the baby to the research team who lives in the Shinra Mansion... Professor Hojo decides to start a new project to parallel his experiments on Subject S.
Growing up in the shadow of Shinra, property of the company and dehumanized in every way, they cling to their Brotherhood, with one another and the SOLDIERS who adopt them as their own, to keep them sane and unbroken no matter what Hojo and Shinra intend.
Joined by Angeal and Genesis, who find themselves thrust into the horrors of the lab that seeks to break them down into nothing more than puppets, it will take everything this wolf pack has to survive with their hearts and souls intact.
Luckily, they have allies within the company, and roving free outside of it to back them up and catch them if they fall...

As the battlefield switched from the vast wastes to a small bed, Sephiroth thought Cloud might need a reminder of the nature of their existence. However, Cloud once again subverted his expectations.
His puppet was truly full of surprises.

“So you’re blackmailing me into pretending to date you?”
Tim shrugs. “Or you could just sign the NDA.”
OR
Danny's trying to recover all the shards to an entity's chalice so that it'll stop destroying the zone while tensions rise amongst his subjects- and trying to finish high school.
Tim's juggling his case load, his work as CEO, and does not have time to be embroiled in a sex scandal right now. If that means he has to pretend to date a very suspicious heir to a rival company, then so be it.
It's a mutually beneficial relationship. So what if Tim's becoming a little too intrigued by the illusive, powerful Phantom? So what if Danny can't stand the Justice League for leaving him to deal with all of Amity's problems when he was just 14? That's a superhero thing.
And their fake boyfriend has no clue that they're a superhero.
