It had been six thousand years, more or less, since Aziraphale had last been without a corporation. He'd forgotten how different some things were.

“Actually, the fact that it’s forbidden is a point in its favour. I intend to make the absolute most of my newfound freedom.” Aziraphale blinks, and Crowley could swear he saw something wicked surface and disappear in those pale blue eyes of his. “Dearest, you can close your mouth now. You look quite like a fish out of water.”
Crowley does close his mouth. “I—you—I just—I was not expecting you to agree so quickly.”
Aziraphale steps closer to him, putting a hand on his cheek. “Why would I ever deny you something you want?” Crowley decides to be gracious and not point out Aziraphale has a long history of doing exactly that. But that was before. This is now.

Crowley asks Aziraphale to use his angelic powers on him in bed.
Of course, because this is Crowley, he does not realize he’s in way over his head until it’s too late. -

It is just a peach. He’s eaten plenty of peaches before. There is no reason why this one should be any different. He can have it if he wants it. However—he’s perfectly aware he’s being tempted, and that’s why he should say no. He should control himself.
Crowley brings the peach to his own mouth, and Aziraphale watches him, transfixed, lips parted and breath itching in his throat. The demon locks eyes with him as he takes a bite, the sound wet and sweet and obscene.

Aziraphale asks Crowley to use his demonic powers to tempt him. It's very effective. -

Summary
It began, like most memorable events in Crowley’s life did, with a bad decision; like most bad decisions, it involved poor impulse control and copious amounts of alcohol. The Antichrist had been born, and he put on lipstick and kitten heels to deal with it, but knew that the clock was ticking, and at times when time was slipping away, it helped to hold onto a bottle of gin.

Summary
Crowley had Aziraphale over weeks ago and hadn’t been able to offer him anything except a kitchen stool and some leftover shepherd’s pie. His own flat has never been anything other than a place to keep his plants, sleep, and waste time when he was between jobs or get-togethers with Aziraphale - he didn’t have so much as a throw to offer him.
Demons didn’t nest. Angels and birds did, but demons didn’t, really. It wasn’t done. Nests are home and comfortable - the antithesis of demons everywhere. They could; the instinct is still there, just like the wings they still have.
But they don’t.
Crowley, though. He’s never much cared for tradition.
Sitting in the backseat of the Bentley and staring out the window, he murmured, “Never been a very good demon though, have I? What’s an itty-bitty nest compared to taking a stand against Satan themselves?”

He's tall, quite slim, with very dark hair, sharp cheekbones and a pointed, chiseled jaw. He could be Crowley's cousin, their features are so similar.
None of this, specifically, is making Aziraphale uncomfortable.
It's when the server subtly looks Aziraphale up and down as he greets them, raising his eyebrows ever so slightly, smiling charmingly... and Aziraphale's corporation responds.

Crowley walks past him, far enough away that there’s no chance of their shoulders brushing. “Thanks for the wine, Aziraphale. G’night.”
Aziraphale reviews the evening. Nothing unusual, he doesn’t think, nothing he can remember saying or doing that might have upset Crowley.
Wait. Nothing Aziraphale said, no. But Crowley... Crowley hadn’t called him “angel” once all day.

Aziraphale didn’t understand why Crowley kept staring. Oh, he’d always been a wonderful listener, of course. He’d joined Aziraphale for countless lunches and dinners over the centuries, following along, nodding or tossing in a question at all the right places, at least seeming to make eye contact from behind the dratted glasses. It was one of the touchstones of their relationship, that Crowley was a good listener.
Or — their friendship. Yes. Absolutely that. “Relationship”, really, what a foolish slip of thought.
(Ever since the world didn't end, Aziraphale feels like Crowley has been acting strangely. He certainly can't figure out why!)

There was a shriek of tires out on the street, and Aziraphale frowned. Honestly, people these days. Disturbing the neighborhood at this hour, with no regard for — Oh!
The internal rant was forgotten, along with the frown. That tire squeal might not have been particularly distinctive, but his more ethereal senses did pick up something which was. A certain presence, smelling of darkness and tasting of warmth and sounding of dry spice, was welling up strong now, so that Aziraphale was already hurrying to the door as it opened.
(Aziraphale can sense love. He can sense something from Crowley, too, but he's quite sure it's not love. Goodness, it is awfully strong these days, though, isn't it?)

“If you start talking now you will end up with kohl in your hair, I swear to Heaven, Aziraphale, this is a very delicate process.”
“I just—”
Crowley waved the brush towards his face in a clear threat. Aziraphale stopped talking.

Demons loved.
It had taken Aziraphale quite a number of centuries to be able to admit it, but he had sensed it from a very few of them, over the years; although the clearest example was also the most vexing. With anything that loved, he could sense the recipient, the target of that love. Yet he had been sensing it, ever stronger and ever more deep, from the same demonic source for six thousand years, and its target was still a mystery.
(Crowley loves. Aziraphale is oblivious.)

byoobitch asked: I was wondering if you could write something about Crowley been jealous. I don't know maybe a costumer starts going to the bookshop and seems to really like Aziraphale. Idk if that makes sense lol. Thank you
Crowley gets rather unreasonably upset at a reoccurring guest at the bookshop. Aziraphale doesn't take kindly to it, but in an argument, softer motivations are revealed.

“Let’s get lunch,” Crowley said, sauntering into the bookshop one October afternoon, his hair a little windswept and his cheeks a little pink from the chill, “what do you think, Le Café du Marché?”
Whatever it was that was waiting to give inside Aziraphale’s chest snapped like a twig. He didn’t even like French food.
“Crowley,” Aziraphale said, setting down his book with an argumentative slap. “You don’t even like French food.”

The world hadn’t ended, which was all well and good. If only this had. This, of course, being lunch.

Summary
Aziraphale paced around the back room of the bookshop, unable to decide what to do with his hands. He wasn't sure why he was so out of sorts, after all today had been a fairly successful day. Both he and Crowley had managed to outsmart their respective superiors, dodge an execution or two, and topped it off with a spot of food at the Ritz. A good day by anyone's standards, really. Crowley had walked him back to the bookshop as streetlights flickered to life above them, and then...
Well, that was just it, wasn't it? And then Aziraphale had said, "Alright then, have a good evening, dear boy. I expect I'll see you shortly."
---
Aziraphale bottles out of inviting Crowley in for a drink after their celebratory meal at the Ritz, and regrets it. And then decides to rectify the situation by knocking on Crowley's door...

Written for a prompt given to me by The_Queen_Of_OTPs: one member of your OTP accidentally confesses their love to the other under the influence of painkillers after surgery. Specifically that Aziraphale forces Crowley to see a dentist for his painful wisdom teeth and holds his hand because the poor demon is scared. Aziraphale also reads a book in the recovery room. Post-canon, G-rated and fluffy.
Hope you like it! I've never written for a prompt before.
And as always, artists welcome! <3
