A year and a half ago today, I wrote a fic called, "The Simple and Mundane Parts of Life That Payton Hobart Is Quite Fond Of," which was a fic that channeled all of my new, exciting, and gushy feelings for the absolute love of my life. Well, we've been together for a year and a half now, and I wanted to explore my more "settled" (or as her and I call it, "calm love") feelings as well as some of the natural challenges that come with relationships and healing.
This can be seen as a prequel-sequel for, "The Simple and Mundane Parts of Life That Payton Hobart Is Quite Fond Of" (Jeez, who let me make the title that long?), but you don't have to read that fic to enjoy this one!

Having Alex in his flat is inarguably a bloody terrible idea, but the man is, inexplicably, his soulmate - he can feel it - and he couldn’t very well stay at that dreadful bar a moment longer. So they got the bottle of wine to go, Henry left a sizeable tip, and led Alex back here because it’s close and despite every instinct to the contrary, there are some things he needs to say.
The entire issue is, Alex is the most gorgeous person Henry has seen in possibly all his life, and as much as this is never going to work, Henry would very much like it to for just the night, if nothing more.
He saw the way Alex’s nostrils had flared when they walked in. Henry is nearly certain Alex won’t smell anything here. Henry isn’t an omega. His possessions don’t carry his scent. Hardly anything does anymore.

Summary
Never in any universe did Dean figure that Angels existed. Sure, there's demons and monsters, but not Angels. And especially, as it turns out, not strange men falling from the sky with weather-changing wings and voices that sound like the creation of the universe itself. They walked in starlight, under a firemoon. This story is a UA-Universe Alteration-My character are in the exact same Tolkien universe, but I am altering plot points, character traits, and timelines. There is no Lord of the Rings that comes after this story. It never happens. *(see endnotes) Too many people with sad endings, it would take too long to give everyone a Happily Ever After. Besides, I am head over heels in love with Kíli and Tauriel. It is their story that wants to be told. If you have longed for the perfect happily ever after for Kíli and Tauriel and a romance so sweet you just have to visit your dentist for cavities, I think you will like this story very much. It is pretty much fluff with some small bits of fluffy drama, but I just wanted a story that made me happy and fulfilled my need for that HEA they didn’t get in the movie.

Summary

It’s nothing like Dean could have ever imagined, full of vibrant life and color, foods he’s never heard of, and animals he’s never seen. It’s a tropical paradise… a paradise that becomes a hell of a lot more interesting when a dark haired, blue-eyed commune native catches his eye. After a rather upsetting first meeting with the grumpy stranger, Dean must continue to navigate life on the island, his new career as the school’s music teacher, and the ultimate feat of dislodging his foot from his very big mouth.
With a community of characters as familiar as his brother and as wild as a capuchin monkey with a flair for mischief, Dean will discover that maybe it wasn’t just Sam’s life that needed a reboot.
