Marinette is the Star of the Order of the Miraculous, the still-in-training head, as well as the True Ladybug leading the Court of Miracles. After years at Hawkmoth's mercy, Marinette has decided that enough is enough and is reaching out to Batman, the detective of detectives to help her track down the villian's true identity. What better way to do this than a field trip to Gotham?
Damian, the bloodson and heir to both the Cowl and the Demon's Head, wants nothing to do with the French Class who has won the Wayne Enterprises Summer Internship, yet his father insists he needs better interpersonal skills. He supposes it won't kill him to try to work with this supposedly skilled class president if it means that everyone will get off his back for being 'aggressively asocial' (although he will still keep NDAs on standby).
A seal of fate, a blood right, and a hidden prophecy lead Marinette and Damian on a rollercoaster of emotions, humourous misunderstandings, comeuppance -- and marriage?!

Combining what info the internet has provided on good romantic partners, along with some of his own preferences, she’s statistically the best option.
“Hm. Yes, you will do.”
“Oh! Uhh… what?...”
Damian’s family are pestering him to be more of a normal teenager. He doesn’t want to be more of a normal teenager. The average teens he observes at school are brainless savages. But his family is getting so annoying about it he’d do almost anything to get them to shut up.
Then Marinette Dupain-Cheng transfers to his school. She’s intelligent, quiet, respectful of his boundaries— generally acceptable.
His family want normal teen behavior? Fine. He’ll bring a girlfriend home.
“Will you be my girlfriend?”
Marinette blinks. Ya know what? This might as well happen.
“Sure.”
Daminette as told through equally socially unaware messes, general misunderstandings of each other's skill and experience, and a total lack of awareness as to how many flowers are too many flowers.

Summary
Marinette and Ladybug are one and the same. No matter what happens, she is always helping people, regardless of the form she takes. However, with time and kindness comes expectation, and it can be easy to miss just how much good she does or overlook what she's accomplished, especially with the current conflict regarding Lila. But no matter what happens, people can take solace in the fact that she'll still be there.
At least until there's a battle against an akuma with the power to erase people and Ladybug is hit.
Fortunately, Ladybug remains standing tall and ever present.

‘a-and of course to honor venessa, and most likely jean for the modern people, as the dandelion knight… not to mention the wine venti likes to drink, but…’ she brushes a stand of hair away as she kneels to examine the flowers closely, as though they'll tell her their secrets in being the true windblume flower, ‘but venti seems rather partial to the cecilia, and the windwheel asters are the staple flower of mondstadt too…’
she sighs and puts her hands to her temples and she mutters countless curses towards venti for making this so difficult to her at eight in the morning, causing jean to stifle a giggle and for said archon to command an abrupt gust of wind at her exposed back, aimed right between her shoulder blades, and she shivers harshly, but quiets her insults nonetheless.
