Summary
When Lucifer first meets Alastor, he loathes him. Who was a mere sinner — a creepy, manipulative, cannibalistic serial-killer — to claim a spot beside his darling daughter and claim she could call Alastor dad? She had a father! And sure, Lucifer would be the first to admit that maybe he was a bit messy about things. He could have been more communicative, maybe a little less manic, and certainly a little more supportive from the start — but Alastor was a shining example in proving his point about sinners in the first place.
After moving into the hotel, however, his opinion has changed. Just a little. Barely. A Smidge.
Perhaps, maybe, kind-of-sort-of, a lot.

Sure, her father appeared happier, but he was always good at putting on a brave face when he was at his lowest, determined to never upset Charlie. She was old enough now to see past it, know he was hiding a lot more. He had to be, because they were on much better terms now than they used to be, so why wouldn't he tell Charlie his exact method for a restful sleep? It only made her worry more, and no amount of impromptu happy dances from Lucifer, or mornings spent relaxing instead of working on daily repairs, was going to appease that.

"I consider this relaxing,” Alastor said with a smug grin Lucifer's way. The other man was lounging on his ridiculous bed – the one Alastor had, much to his chagrin, discovered was fire-proof – fiddling absently with one of his many rubber ducks.
Lucifer hummed, like he thought Alastor's claim was something he had to consider – and couldn't be taken as simple fact.
“Nope. Right now, your back is sore – and don't try to deny it, because your static's been hissing at least two pitches higher than normal – and you just cut your thumb open on a screw. You didn't sleep properly last night, I've got your hoof-marks on my legs to prove it – and even if you enjoy working on your radios, you're definitely not relaxing,” Lucifer proclaimed.

If Alastor won't take care of himself then Lucifer figures he'll just have to do it for him. Helping a tense Radio Demon into a bath and bed? Well, that's a sacrifice Lucifer guesses he's willing to make.

Summary
“I got this!” Lucifer and Alastor snapped in unison. The star finally met the top of the tree in a bright and sparkling manner. The strings of Lucifer’s showy magic collided with the black and green hues of the beam coming from Alastor’s. As the two trails of magic hit, the star fell on top and glowed as bright as the blinding sun.
Charlie ducked as Vaggi shielded her with a wing.
Alastor quickly covered his eyes with his arm and Lucifer stumbled backward in surprise.
The light soon dissipated. The topper was neatly placed and shining with the same heavenly hue as before, only now, it started to rain down sparkles.
Lucifer had gone to bed that night earlier than usual.
Alastor had retreated to his room after the much too festive cheer dear Charlie was putting on.
Lucifer’s eyes widened when the face staring back at him in a crumbling vanity was NOT his own. Alastor had paused in horror once he met his reflection that belonged to the king of hell.
Or,
Lucifer and Alastor swap bodies after accidentally clashing their magic while trying to handle a heavenly artifact for Christmas.
Their only way to revert it?
