There wasn't a day that went by that Vee Noceda wished she was born a human. Just living out her life in the sleepy town of Connecticut, as the earth spun and the humans toiled. Magickless, mundane, and unmemorable.
God, to be just a normal girl, worrying about normal human girl things. just another speck lost to the hoards of mankind. It was safer that way. Smarter. And sure,The demon could mimic plenty; she had being human down to an almost exact science. She took pride in her ability to empathize with her human friends, walk gracefully on two legs, hell she even mastered the art of body language. In a strange twist of fate she wasn't just good at being human, she excelled at it. She’d skated through middle school, practically ran the high school, and even scored an acceptance letter into one of Connecticut's best business schools.
She was going to be fine. She'd already made it this far, besides, it's just college.
What's the worst thing that can happen?
